People think freelancing is easy but it is not easy as they think. Sometime it is harder as compare to an office job, however you should be determent with your work. As a freelancer you have to face some unexpected situation during your freelance job. Here are some of the problems and their solutions that occurs in a freelancer vs client contest during a project.

Struggle to Get Clients

The Problem :(

For new freelancers to get a high paid client is not an easy task. If you don’t have good working history on a specific freelancing website the clients will not want to work with you. A large number of clients specified 4 star feedback out of 5.

The Solution :)

On initial basis you need to apply on the base of your impressive portfolio and cover letter. You have a chance to impressive the client with your cover letter. Encourage client to your portfolio in order to show your valuable work.

Some Clients Thinks They are the Bosses

The Problem :(

A person who is paying for you against your services would be just like a boss but actually he is not. However, you have to follow the instructions given by your client.

The Solution :)

If your client thinks he is the boss just let him do, and if he satisfied with your work and want more work with you have a good chance to increase your rete without the fear of losing clients. If you the client is ready to increase the rates go ahead if he don’t ready to pay you more say him bye.

Unrealistic Expectations from Clients

The Problem :(

Some clients don’t think the freelancers are also human being they think there is a robot on the other side. They want more work in less time or they don’t ready to pay your desired rates.

The Solution :)

Just give your best to the clients in the first week and let him know you are the best person for his desired work. If the client think you are doing so as he want, don’t waste your time to minimize the work load, increase the rates or extend the time for the same project.

Client’s Skeptical Behavior

The Problem :(

Some clients have skeptical behaviors and they think you are not doing their work. They always try to get updates of each hour or daily basis.

The Solution :)

You can use a tracking software for the work of your client or you can send completed work email to your client before he ask. If he ask for the completed work just send him the message “check your inbox” hopefully it would work.

Your and Client’s Time Difference

The Problem :(

A large number of clients are available in European countries and affordable freelancers are available in Asian countries. The time difference would be a problem between a client and freelancer communication.

The Solution :)

Just fix a time according to your client’s country time when he will be available easily. Come on that time to discuss about your project details.
